Hello, has anyone considered that Saddam Hussein had been a classical oriental despot? The Baath party where he originitaed from was originally some socialist democratic, inspired by Nasser, attempt to make an independent secular arabic state. The turn to a despotie was not planed or wanted. Not only Deleuze and Guattari were against despots, it is a moving motivation for a lot of people of very different ideological backgrounds. There are so much despots around and within. If even the more than obvious despots are not undressed their possibility of being an open successful social accepted and functioning despot in reality, what about the many little depots we are suffering from - even in imagination. This includes the thinking and feeling time and efforts we are spending thinking how to remove them. Often these little despots are working with spontaneous likes and dislikes without any or sometimes even against any argument. On the other side sometimes likes and dislikes, of music or poems or films for example, are the only thread of becoming more active or a life or oneself or getting together with people cultivating virtues that make one feeling better or happy on very solid, even social, economical behaviour, taste and other grounds. This is also the antique view of things in that question. Therefore self reflection of likes and dislikes maybe helpful and is as such high valued in philosophy, especially in all things around ethics. As a thumb rule without very consequent adherence to truth as much as possible one is often lead to aberration, at most like to avoid what would be helpful. greetings Harold Wenk -----Original Message----- From: deleuze-guattari-bounces-AT-lists.driftline.org [mailto:deleuze-guattari-bounces-AT-lists.driftline.org]On Behalf Of .+oot3AM patient Sent: Dienstag, 18. Many of my dolphin friends wonder how humans survive w/o said echo complex. and I explain to them that of course we do. leaving the womb and entering thhe world of ra, air that consumes and co-evoloves, it just something the dolphins could never understand. A careful study of a rhyzoma sample reveals the simple fact that is it ENTIRELY dependent upon its relationship with other BwO, often forming a species-identity that operate as a whole. So that self which hwenk acurately describes as a topological ying-yang is also dimentionally complicated by that self's communal relationship, as "becoming animal" some packs becoming hives or gangs becoming schools. So to get a term familiar with new york gangland history - "Zaffer" - the vicious conspiracy that circles the pyrotechinic real estate agents and the city fire dept. It was a dark period for the cities pet stores and we lost thousands to shear lack of humanity. We wasted our time working piecemeal, Thank god for the elephants!!! _______________________________________________ List address: deleuze-guattari-AT-driftline.org Info: http://lists.driftline.org/listinfo.cgi/deleuze-guattari-driftline.org Archives: www.driftline.org _______________________________________________ List address: deleuze-guattari-AT-driftline.org Info: http://lists.driftline.org/listinfo.cgi/deleuze-guattari-driftline.org Archives: www.driftline.org
