Try a used sewing machine place first. I got a necchi there oh so many years 
ago for like 35.00 And it lasted me for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a great buy..

When it died I moved to a Kenmore...yes I know, but I am not fancy... Also 
ask Karen Larsen....

You do kind of get what you pay for....

Karen will give you great advice, I am sure.
