Check out Kenmores that were made in the fifties.  They are indestructable
and can sew through saddles! My repair man said that it would be better to
replace every single part of my 1956 machine than to buy any of the new ones
on the market.  Unlike today's machines, it has all metal parts. Today's
machines mix plastic against metal.
