Subject: [Puptcrit] writing story for NY Times

I'm a freelancer writing a story for the New York
Times about the people trying to revive the Stony
Creek Puppet Theater in Stony Brook, Conn.

The theater was started in 1963, after a collector
named Grace Weil purchased about 100 Sicilian puppets
built by Sebastiano Zappala. Weil's son and an Italian
named Sal Macri began a company that was based at the
Stony Creek theater but performed throughout America.
For various reasons everything fell apart, but the
building and the puppets are still intact, and a few
people are now trying to do something about it.

I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone who has
any info about any of the elements of this story --
the puppet maker Zappala, the Stony Creek theater, the
performing company.

Thank you for your time,
Theresa Everline
