I think PayPal's per transaction fees are actually lower than those charged by the credit card companies. Where most web site shopping carts fail is that they don't make purchasing easy and straightforward; PayPal is easy (and cheap!) to set up and run. It costs virtually nothing. Adding it to a website is a no-brainer in my opinion. Just my two cents. Paypal is Free to setup and run, no monthly fees Charge is around 2.9% + .35 cents per transaction Totally free to all buyers who use it One's choice to use buy it now buttons or add to cart buttons Simple to setup and run I have been using it both as a merchant and buyer for 7 years and it is excellent Buyer and seller protection up to $1,000.00 per transaction It handles all Credit cards including eChecks as well as electronic funds, where buyer maintains an electronic account to make instant purchases The instant someone pays for something the seller has the funds in the account which the seller can transfer to their bank account free of charge nightly. Very secure and Paypal is VERY protective of both their buyer and seller accounts My rant is over, if someone wishes to do something with it for the store on POA that would be fine.
