I was dreaming of getting muppet-style puppet eyes, and I know it's
possible, as a local commercial puppet maker uses them. He won't divulge his
sources, only that they are made somewhere in Asia. Thank a lot, dude, for
NOT helping.
What kind of selfish, paranoid attitude is that?
I should'nt have bought a puppet from him before asking the question...

Anyway, I needed big puppet eyes fast, so I made my own, and I like them
better anyway. I used ping pong balls, painted them, and varnished them to
make them high gloss. WOW!

But later, for my most attractive Muppet gaze, I just made black round
pupils with electrical tape, and stuck them on a plain white ping pong ball.
See a pic here: www.magma.ca/~uubald/blu.html. It's still there after two
years. I just made sure I did not touch the adhesive side of the tape too
much before applying, and I cleaned the ball beforehand with alcohol (to
remove any trace of grease or dust).

Next time I need that look, I'll cover the whole ball with a clear finish,
such as Future(an acrylic floor coating), as the ping pong ball eventually
gets dirty (it has an extra fine grain that catches dirt)

I Have tried the black bead tip for the first time, and WOW WOW WOW. Very
focused, very shiny, very easy to work with such a look on a puppet. REads
very well, even from a distance (as long as you have contrast with the
surrounding skin, to define the eyes). Depending on what's around it
(eyelids, forehead, eyebags...), you can go from Teddy Bear Cute to Creepy
killer bloodsucking snail from Mars...
