I couldn't get this one out of my mind, and as I started to draft a
response, it kept feeling more and more like a great topic for a
short essay (I love writing as much as I love puppetry).  So, while 
it may be nearly a week late for this topic, I've completed that 
essay and added it to my website.  Please take a look and let me 
know what you think.
