  I am not sure what motor you are refering to.  If you are purchasing a new
gear motor, be sure to consider how strong it is, and how much strength you
need.  This is commonly given as a number like 16 oz/in.  This means if you
attach an arm to the output shaft that is 1 inch long, it will provide 16
ounces of force.  The same motor will pull on a cord wrapped around a 2"
diameter pully on the shaft with 16 ounces of force. You can do math to
figgure out the force it will provide if the pully is 4" diameter (twice the
"arm" and therefore half the force, eg. 8 ounces of pull)

  You can measure the amount of pull you need for your curtain by pulling on
a portable fish scale attached to the curtain cord. Then add about 20% more.
