Hi Mark.

First I'd reccomend you to ask your Internet Service Provider if they offer
a spam filter service.
For me, it the almost perfect solution, as they filter before it even gets
to my mailbox. Which means i don'r have to wait for the slow download for
messages I don't want. I can have access to the messages, in case (very
rarely) that they filtered out a message I would have wanted. I get at most
10 spam messages a week (out of a few hundred wanted emails).
My ISP is Magma Communications, now a Primus company, and they are located
in ontario, but provide services in Montreal.

This service coupled with Symantec's Norton Anti-Virus installed on my
machine protects me from nasties of many types. Not a single virus problem
since I installed it.
