I just wanted to thank you all for the information! Having the correct spelling has been a step in the right direction. I'll also research at UNIMA and PUK.

And I'll certainly let you know what I find.

My reason for wanting to work with this is that ever since I was younger, I used to joke that "people don't use their feet enough." So, if I'd drop something I'd use my toes to retrieve it, hee hee. Also, I've taken up yoga and that has helped me strengthen my body for puppeteering (I've focused primarily on video/TV puppetry). 

I just find it interesting to use the body in a unique way to perform with puppets. And this ashi-odori form is a sort of melding of some interests for me.
