And so what are "Avenue Q" and "Little Shop of Horrors"? Seems one of 
the main things that they do is sell the show as a show - as Theater - 
not as a puppet show.
  Perhaps if we thought of ourselves in the terms of performing theater 
rather than doing "puppet shows" we would write and sell it that way, 
and perhaps even have our audiences think that way as well. I am not 
trying to denigrate what we do, but to suggest that we don't 
marginalize our work either.
  Just a thought.
