I've done the puppetry for the Blackstone dancing handkerchief. It takes two 
puppeteers, one stage left and the other stage right. Blackstone's version 
was done with sticks. I had the goofy idea of performing the routine with 
four fishing poles. It's amazing how much personality you can give a 
handkerchief. In our version the handkerchief turned into a dove in the 
end.... which doesn't really make sense, but it was pretty.
