As others have I believed already mentioned, there was in fact a puppet 
pattern by Jim or Jane Henson (possibly both) in Women's Day a few years 
after this. I actually have a copy of the pattern tucked away in my 
files somewhere. I don't have the "Purple Necked Black Bearded Blatch" 
script (if anyone has one I would be grateful for a copy). The McCalls 
Muppet patterns were something else entirely different and pop up from 
time to time on ebay if you watch for them.
