Subject: [Puptcrit] Building a Training puppet

Ok, I'm glad I put the word "a" as in "a training puppet.
re-reading me, I realise it may sound as thouhg there is a type of puppet
made solely
for training puppeteer, when in my humble newbie opinion, one should learn
with all forms of actual show-ready puppets.

Tonight I brought the puppet withme, to see a cabaret show(well hidden in my
bag, no upstaging from me). Afterwards, I took it out, unsuspecting of the
talent around me. Two people at the table picked it up without a word, and
started making it move together. It was magical!

Turns out they had followed an introductory puppeteering course (probably
the only in-school puppet course in Quebec, and I hear it is very good).
Doesn't take away their talent. They almost made me mad with their modesty.
They were scenic technicians, and were almost apologising for their
begginners skills, but they might as well have been pro puppeteers.

I'm glad they liked the puppet, and that I didn't hallucinate the fact that
it moved "fairly good" even under my nervous hands.
