I'm a member of Unima by default (comes included in my local association's
membership) and had no "return on the investment", yet.
But I know it will eventually help. They have various bursaries, and
worldwide contacts. I know people who are on the board of Unima (North
America) and they do a great job. I guess it is a matter of what level of
involvement and need you are.
If you stay local and don't go on tours or on puppet-related trips, Unima
might not seem very interesting.

I receive the yearly newsletter, and so far I have not found anything of use
personally. But I intend to take advantage and get involved with Unima in
the near future.

Can anyone more experienced tell us what Unima is really all about, to a
"more basic" level? I mean besides the great organising and public realtions
they do?
