I don't know which epoxy you mean.
I know 5 minute epoxy will not work , as it will crack and make bubbles and 
be hard to paint.

I have an epoxy-based counter top varnish (1 coat =55 coats of varnish).
I just got some marine varnish I must test.

There was an "acrylic epoxy" at the store, which seemed odd. Do you know 
about such a thing?
