Subject: [Puptcrit] other critters receive UNIMA Citations!


It is indeed fabulous that Great Small Works won PofA's Jim Henson Award.
I wish I could remember the whole list (I'll find it soon), but it should be
noted here that at least these other critters received the coveted UNIMA
Citation for Excellence in Puppet Theatre in Minneapolis.

Heidi Rugg of Barefoot Puppets for "Galapagos George"
(as noted briefly by Jim)

Bonny Hall & Jamie Keithline of Crabgrass Puppets for "Bremen Town
Musicians"

Steve Axtel for "Ax Television"

also, thought they're not regular critters, "By the Willow" by Foreign
Landscapes (UConn MFA thesis production), which was seen at the
Northeast/Mid-Atlantic regional festival last year.

also, David Stephens (All Hand Productions) and John Ludwig (Center for
Puppetry Arts in Atlanta) won UNIs.

Seven were given.  I've messaged Marianne Tucker, Awards chair, to help me
remember the last one.
