There has been a lot of speculation like that in the Muppet fan 
community since word of these auditions got out, but I have it on very 
good authority that they are not auditioning understudies or people to 
work on film/TV projects. This is strictly for things like theme park 
work, live shows, limited low-level PR and that kind of thing.

That being said, it still sounds like a great gig, especially for 
someone who wants to break in to the biz. The auditions are being held 
in Toronto, LA and New York for anyone interested and the details are 
posted on the PofA's bulletin board I believe.
