I remember when PofA philosophy tried to serve East/West/North/South & Central on a rotating basis. Ideally it is my preference, because the trip itself can be an incentive, to see different parts of the US (and Canada twice).

I Know conditions have changed, school schedules have changed, other groups now use college campi creating competition and higher prices.

When a Festival was at Baton Rouge, LA a surprising number of members travelled to the southern central USA and tacked on a side trip to New Orleans. It was my first visit to NOLA and we kept bumping into puppeteers in the French Quarter. I hope the Trustees will figure out some miracle that allows us to bounce about like the olden days and I wish NOLA and environs a speedy recovery from a terrible storm.---ALAN COOK
