Mary, I've always wondered why more Punch professors didn't do just as you 
did, as most of the fiddling with puppets and props must be done by the hand 
Punch is not on.   Maybe, if most puppeteers are really left-handed, that's why 
the old Profs used to say Punch needed to be on the right hand, not because the 
left hand was actually considered "sinister"!
