Dear Debra and others, Felix Mirbt co-designed with Tom Miller (then designer at Nova Scotia's Mermaid Theatre) Brecht's Happy End in 1981. Big, "bunraku-style" puppets with onstage manipulators. It was co-produced by Tarragon Theatre (Toronto), Theatre Calgary, and the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, the theatres to which the production also toured, and co-directed by Mirbt and Bill Glassco, AD (and founder) of Tarragon at the time (though he, like Mirbt, recently passed away). I have some article references I can send on tomorrow, but right now, I have to fly out the door. Take care, Jamie Quoting Debra Hilborn <debrahilborn-AT-earthlink.net>: > Dear Puptcrit listservers, > > I'm an MA student proposing to do reseach on productions of Bertolt Brecht's > plays that use puppets -- and I am currently in the process of collecting > examples.
