I appreciate your perspective, but my reading of Jim Gamble's original post didn't convey the same
critical, derogatory attitude towards William Dwiggins' art that yours seemed to. What I saw was
Jim's concerns with certain practical aspects of performance, and not an effort to diminish the
artistry of Dwiggins or anyone else. Perhaps my initial reading was not as perceptive as your own.

The Abrams book by Dorothy Abbe is beautiful, as are Dwiggins' puppets. I would love to be able to
examine examples of his work in person one day.
