You can develop a custom made storage case that is fire rated  as storage
  security boxes and safes are.
  Also store items that are protected ,in a dry basement as the heat  from 
any fire
 is very low, 99.9% chance items will survive if this is done
 I've have seen contents survive a fire with only minor singeing and  those 
kept in
 a basement received zero damage
