Wow!  I appreciate the comments.  I'm not saying that I don't like 
performances in which puppeteers are visible.  I work that way occasionally. 
And I admire the Bunraku artists, who have done so for hundreds of years.  I 
was (and still am) a fan of ventriloquists like the great Paul Winchell. 
And I wish I had the sensitivity of Bruce Schwartz.  And I'm not referring 
to puppeteers who play roles in their shows, either.

I am thinking about people who would be better off concentrating on their 
puppetry skills instead of contriving scenarios in which they are calling 
attention to themselves.
