Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Bross/Roser

Hi Greg:

Both Kurt Hunter and I took Albrect's 'String Academy' classes at UConn a few
years back.
I have a substantial collection of drawings of most of Roser's controls and
the stringing used. And Kurt has a good knowledge of Roser's methods.

I understand the basic Bross/Roser control designs and principles (theories)
Albrecht espouses as well as 'theoretical improvements' of my own on this
control. That is to say, improvements that expand the use of this control to
permit the marionette a wider reange of movement.

Several well known puppeteers have used modified Roser's control to suit
their own needs.

Bernd Ogrodnik has a great understanding of Roser's techniques which I think
he modified for his marionette movie, 'STRINGS.' I haben't seen the film yet
so don't know how effective these modifications were.

Email me privately and I'll send what I can.
Best.
