Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Toxicity help needed

WOW!
Thanks Mark.

What does "off gassing" mean?

I definitely am glad I asked for advice on this.
Google is not all-knowing.
I went on ToxFaqs and I saw nothing alarming about the ingredients I could
find info on.
Some were even edible!

I am not going to use these colorants on my masks until and if I get
complete scientific and moral reassurance that these toxics are going to be
neutral once they are fully cured. Aren't they there only as solvents?
I should have know that this low price for such coloring power was too good
to be true!
I'd be better off with natural dry pigments (as long as they are non toxic
when binded), as long as I wear protective gear when I mix them.

I think it's a STUPID and irresponsible thing to sell such coloring products
to the general public if they are so dangerous. The warnings are not clear
enough. No info is available on their website. I sent for more info, using
their contact info. Imagine, people use them to color their paints, which
end up on their bedroom walls and on furniture all over the house and
office!

Of course, we don't lick our walls or spend an hour a day with our faces
against them.

No chances can be taken with my customers's health. And I'm one of them too,
since I sometimes cannot bare to let a mask go I never developped the
ability to detach myself from my work. One more reason to use safe
materials, my home is full of them!

Thanks again!
