Subject: [Puptcrit] glass puppets

Many years ago, a Czech stop-motion glass puppet film was made, using replacement figures in various poses--I remember horses. A few years ago, a neighbor subscribed to a glass art magazine which had an article about several marionettes made by a glass artist working at a glass center in Brooklyn. I was briefly in touch with her and she attended a NY Puppetry Guild meeting but did not strike a responsive chord with anyone there. I was hoping something interesting might come out of that meeting. But such connection is not guaranteed. I have no idea who might have made the first glass puppet or marionette, but in recent yearsseveral artists have done t.

The devil marionette and the bird-like creature shared on puptcrit are interesting efforts, and the devil has strong character and color.
