When we loaded him in, lots of trunks of fabric and foam bodies, with many
faces, some Papier mache, some appeared to be celastic. Body puppets were hung
on special stands, expertly executed with a view to making quick change,
spatters of sweat on the black stage floor after blackouts in a halo , giving
away the secret locations of his seemingly schizophrenic changes from one
character to the next, I came away feeling like I saw more than one person
Panting, exhausted bows revealed amazingly, only one. Keep in mind this was
more than a decade ago. Haven't been in a position to see him since. His
Marilyn Monroe Character, truly hilarious, frightening, and disturbing, poised
over the vent in the street is forever etched in my mind.
