So I am confused (as usual). Is the film actually done with actual, traditional, frame by frame cut-out animation. Or is it actually all done on a computer using FLASH. Or a combination? Truly an inspired idea, beautifully executed. I can't begin to guess how many images washed over me that week, but the percent that stuck with me is pretty low. You were definitely way ahead of the curve for "flash animation", Jim. Apparently it was nearly all silhouette cut outs manipulated manually (stop frame) on collaged backgrounds and then digitally enhanced...3D shots of the ship wasn't CGI but again stop motion! (I guess that makes it more than a FLASH in the pan.......sorry) Of course the film has already won Australian and international awards including THE BIG ONE....Annecy 2005 which is adjudicated by the top 500 animators in the world. Im certainly looking forward to seeing it........
