Subject: [Puptcrit] Speaking of Good Shows

If you are in the Philly area, I have a best bet for you.
Saturday I went to see Mum Puppet's production of "The Lady
in the Van". It was really a Theatrical Joy.

The use of puppets as "alter ego" and as the characters in the story
being developed by Alan Bennett were really a wonderful melding of
Theatrical crafts.
The script and direction were fresh and fun. The Puppets themselves
had a very shadowy quality to them that gave me a slight edgy feeling,
but to me it seemed right for the production.

I also found the set to be clever and effective. I would
recommend anyone to get to Mum before they close the show.
