Subject: [Puptcrit] Lettie Schubert Memorial in SF Ft MASON June 11, 2006


CALENDAR ALERT!

The SF Puppet Guild and allies have scheduled a Tribute to Lettie on Sunday, June 11, 2006 in the Golden Gate Room at Ft Mason from 2 to 9 (public announcements outside the puppet community say it is from 3 to 9, so there will be set-up time.

Lee (Images in Motion) will prepare a big screen video collage, incorporating excerpts from an interview with Lettie by Anita Coulter and Sam Hale and other bits, Lynne Jennings is preparing  memorial wall/panel of written memories, stories, thoughts and photos. Material for that and a special obit in Puppetry Journal are solicited We want to preserve as many stories and bits of history as possible.

Lewis Mahmann and Randal Metz will revive a Fairyland Park production of "Mrs Witherspoon's Busy Day" shown at Storybook Theater in Oakland, with Lettie's voice on the soundtrack. Footage from early     tv's"Brother Buzz"with lettie working with Ralph Chesse will be shown.

More to be announced about this special event.
