Some years ago, before moving to Iceland, Bernd Ogodnik lived in and  
performed throughout Upstate New York. He was active in the then struggling  puppet 
guild there, and graciously often opened his home and workshop to the  guild 
and its members, and practiced his vignettes for them. At that time I  believe 
he was selling his puppets at craft fairs. He carved me some beautiful  hand 
puppets which I will treasure. He was also a featured performer at one of  the 
Int. Henson festivals in NYC. Surely Bernd is one of the most sharing and  
talented puppeteers around, and many are not surprised by his recent  success.
