Hi Michael,

The first thing you need to do before you start asking these 
questions is decide what market your puppet business is going to be 
in.  Will it be in film-making?  Will it be an entertainer doing live 
shows? Who is your audience?  After you've answered these kind of 
questions, then you can go onto the next 3 you have listed.  You 
really can't answer your questions until you know where you want to 
fit in.   Do a google search on puppetry.  You should be able to find 
web-sites of puppeteers.
