It includes a dozen puppets by Sophie Taeuber for Gozzi's 'King Stag', displayed against a painted backdrop. Two very different catalogues are available. The French catalogue is a Dadaesque 'phone directory' of theoretical articles arranged in alphabetical order, printed on thin, greyish paper. The American catalogue is a more traditional, glossy volume. By the way, the current issue of Puppet Notebook, the British Unima magazine, includes an article by Mischa Twitchin on Dada puppets. He discusses Taeuber-Arp, Grosz's caricature marionettes (constructed by John Heartfield and Waldemar Hecker), and collage puppets made by the Belgian Dadaist Paul Joostens. A few images are reproduced there. The exhibition is definitely worth a (long!) visit if it's within possible reach.
