This attitude is so Western and demonstrates why the
hemisphere is heading for its own trash heap.  There
are wiser cultures that recycle your rubbish for their
own needs, like Africans who take old rubber tire
treads and convert them into shoes.  A person who
cared about the environment and the future of the
planet would never completely "dispose" of any used or
"broken" items.  One person's trash is another
person's  economy.
