Hi Brid.

I not only know about Freecycle, I am also a member.
I don't get to offer much, being the kind to re-use everything myself, but 
when I do, it is very practical.

I mostly keep an eye out for useable materials and tools for art.
So far, I've gotten a mini clothes dryer, door hinges, fabric scraps, wool, 
and a big bag of tissue paper for my paper mache(great as a last layer for 
texture, smooth or wrinkled).

Most of the useable stuff I have to give away I can find takers within my 
acquaintances, or I just leave it on the curb at anytime, and someone picks 
it up within two hours.

I did use Freecycle to find a taker for my Drafting table. It was at night. 
Within an hour, I had three interested, and in the morning it was gone.
Amazing when you need to clear some space by getting rid of bulky items.

Now I even have another place to leave stuff. The Theatre I work with always 
needs more props and furniture for its shows.
