It was well worth trekking out to Flushing to see it. Stephen has assembled an excellent collection, well displayed. There are well know puppets and also some truly rare treasures. Thanks for your work on this Stephen, I wish I could come up again and hear your talk Steve ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen Kaplin" <skactw-AT-tiac.net> To: <puptcrit-AT-lists.driftline.org> Sent: Friday, May 19, 2006 1:43 AM Subject: [Puptcrit] Curator's talk at Flushing Town Hall Puppet Exhibit > Dear puptcritizens, > > Something else to look forward to this coming Sunday, May 21, 2:00 PM. > A curator's talk and special guided tour through > > WITH OR WITHOUT STRINGS > > An exhibition of puppets from the Smithsonian Institution National > Museum of American History and from private collections including those > of Ronnie Asbell, Alan Cook , The Carter Family, Martin Robinson, Vit > Horejs and Chinese Theatre Works. > over 200 puppets from 30 countries-- with special emphasis on > contemporary puppetry in NYC. > > Curated by Stephen Kaplin. > > At Flushing Town Hall > 137-35 Northern Boulevard > Flushing, NYC > for more info: www.flushingtownhall.org > > > > (Perfect Post-Puppet-day activity) > > _______________________________________________ > List address: puptcrit-AT-lists.driftline.org > Admin interface: > http://lists.driftline.org/listinfo.cgi/puptcrit-driftline.org > Archives: http://www.driftline.org > _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-lists.driftline.org Admin interface: http://lists.driftline.org/listinfo.cgi/puptcrit-driftline.org Archives: http://www.driftline.org
