Subject: [Puptcrit] Durability of Plastalina formulas/now MendAll

Hi Robert:

MendAll...
Just go online to http://www.mendallproducts.com/

This is their wood filler. It's about $11.95 per one pound can, but it's
cheaper if you buy a case.
Very nice people.
I used perhaps 3/4 of a can for this head, but if I took more care I wouldn't
have used so much.
It casts beautifully in a plaster mold. I used Rufus Rose's string technique
to make the mold...

Just soak the mold before you put in the MendAll.... I let the head 'cure'
underneath water for a couple of days but it really takes a week or slightly
less to completely dry.
Still, I was able to work with it after only three days... That's it. Less
shrinkage than Plastic Wood but the SMELL is the same. Acetone solvent.
I love this stuff...
Any questions, please ask....
Best,
Fred
P.S.
I'll send along pictures of the head privately... I'm very pleased.
