Hot melt glue may not melt totally in a hot car, but it will soften, especially the low temp glue. If a puppet survived in a hot Phoenix car in the summer, it is probably because the glued joint was not under stress. If it was covered with fabric, that is what really held it together. Too much work goes into a puppet to have a bunch of them selfdestruct in the car.
