Subject: [Puptcrit] new to the list

hello, and Im glad to be here. I am a puppet maker, and think I may be using a very unique medium. I dont know a whole lot about puppet making, as others are constructed, I only know the medium I use. I raise sheep, and am a hand spinner. one skill often used by fiber artists is , needle felting. a small barbed needle is used to agitate and tightly felt wool. I carry that even further by sculpting the wool, into forms built around a puppet design.
I have made about 5 puppets as of tonight, and my 6th is almost finished. , I love to sculpt these guys, and would love to know if any of you have ever seen any other puppets made from this method. I hope I am not breaking any rules, but will attach a link to some photos of my puppets.

the puppets are 100% wool and are not painted. I color them , by adding already dyed wool .
I am not a preformer, but my 4 year old son has a T-Rex puppet I made for him, and he plays with it a lot ! I would be curious to learn what puppeteers are looking for in puppets... realism? specific mediums? and much more.
I am glad to be here , and hope that you all can teach me a lot about puppets and puppet making ,
Thank you Melissa
