Just a quick heads up looking ahead to early 2007 - The group I work with, Rogue Artists Ensemble was recently awarded the rights to create a multimedia and puppet heavy adaptation of "The Tragical Comedy or Comical Tragedy of Mr. Punch" by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Dave McKean. We are going to be premiering the project in Los Angles in the February or March of 2007! Our website is here and we will be launching a brand new site soon with tons of information about the project - www.rogueartists.org We are currently working with animator Angus Oblong of the television program "The Oblongs" on another original collaborative project entitled "The Victorian Hotel." This project features a stunning array of puppets and will be opening in October in Los Angeles too. Also on the horizon is the launch of our kids programming series which we are very close to announcing. This original adaptation of a well known kids book will be just about the most hip and happening family friendly performance ever created and will be created as a larger touring project for touring houses and as a smaller scaled down version without the bells and whistles for schools and community centers that don't have the infrastructure or funding to cover the costs of the larger show. We are always looking for puppet-folk in the Los Angels area, so if anyone on the list is interested in getting involved more please let me know! As Usual, Sean T.
