They tested me for everything from Diabetes, heavy metal poisoning, to vitamin B 12 deficiency (all causes of neuropathy) and never determined a cause, but I went home to the studio and examined the cases of plastic wood, rolls of celastic and other acetone/toluene/etc. activated stuff and my ever present aniline dyes, and came to some of my own conclusions. I still have a roll with about ten yards of celastic on it. I can't bring my self to use it, but I loved it for so many purposes when I was young and could feel both my fingers and my feet that I can't bring myself to throw it away. Richard B. At seventy I have Peripheral Nueropothy, a deterioration of the nerves in my feet which results in balance problems.from working with Celastic, Contact and rubber Cement, It is absorbed by touch through the skin and in the lungs when a respirator is not used. Bad stuff and has been responsible for other disabilities such as Parkinson's and liver damage.
