I have a number of friends who do needle felting for art dolls etc. I think
your work is wonderful (I have tried needle felting my self, and appreciate
a really skilled operator). If you have no objection, I will forward your
URL to the doll list (about six hundred dollmakers using everything from
needle sculpting to polymer clay and neoprene).

sometimes think that the last persona is the most important- and most
valuable.

hello, and Im glad to be here. I am a puppet maker, and think I may be using
a very unique medium. I dont know a whole lot about puppet making, as others
are constructed, I only know the medium I use. I raise sheep, and am a hand
spinner. one skill often used by fiber artists is , needle felting. a small
barbed needle is used to agitate and tightly felt wool. I carry that even
further by sculpting the wool, into forms built around a puppet design.
I have made about 5 puppets as of tonight, and my 6th is almost finished. ,
I love to sculpt these guys, and would love to know if any of you have ever
seen any other puppets made from this method. I hope I am not breaking any
rules, but will attach a link to some photos of my puppets.

the puppets are 100% wool and are not painted. I color them , by adding
already dyed wool .
I am not a preformer, but my 4 year old son has a T-Rex puppet I made for
him, and he plays with it a lot ! I would be curious to learn what
puppeteers are looking for in puppets... realism? specific mediums? and
much more.
I am glad to be here , and hope that you all can teach me a lot about
puppets and puppet making ,
Thank you Melissa
