I taught the needle-felting class at the P of A Fesitval last summer, and also presented a week-long workshop at PuppetFest MidWest, which I will be repeating this summer. Sometime this week I will attempt to learn how to put photos on the internet so you folks can see my puppets. I have been making, puppets, performing, and teaching puppetry for the past 20 years. My puppet shop is cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and when it is most comfortable, I am busy in schools. Needle Felted Puppets can be made in comfort! This method of puppet construction allows me to sit next to the window by the bird feeder in a most comfy chair with my feet up and a basket of soft, fluffy wool beside me, as I make a vast array of charming puppets WITHOUT getting wet, spreading stuff on every flat surface in the house, or getting POISONED! Plus, I really like sheep...... I use natural wool, dyed wool, and shrunken wool sweaters from resale shops. Melissa is right - these puppets end up very light, and durable. I have used mine in street performances in July, and the wool is very comfortable because it breathes and wicks moisture away from your hand. I encourage you puppet makers out there to try it. It is a very forgiving medium. Regards, Pam _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
