You are welcome Mathieu.
Just to be clear, you do not need a mold in this case.
Do you mean you can order the model? This could be one
of those translation things, I don't know, since
puppet language is far from standardized. In my end of
the puppet world, the mold would be the negative of
the shape, and the model would be the piece you are
working, and often copying with a mold. In this case,
the model is the globe you are using for an eye.

As to the torch, that is what I have always used, as
did the people who showed me this technique. If, by
butane lighter you mean one of those refillable
cigarette lighters, I would say no, it wouldn't work.
It doesn't but out enough heat fast enough over an
area. If you mean one of those small butane torches, I
would say maybe, but I don't know. I have both, but
have just never tried anything but the big propane
job. Part of the need for the big torch is getting the
flame to shoot down on the eye, so that the epoxy
flows down, and away from the area you will see. Lots
of the epoxy actually drips right off, or needs to be
ground off later. So I would say, find a propane torch
if at all possible. the good side is that lots of
craftspeople and handy persons have them, as well as
plumbers. Fuel is very easy to come by, any hardware
store will have it, and I think the thread is the same
for propane camping stoves, so sporting supply stores,
and here, even Target stores have it. Do you Have
Target up there? Home Depot? I don't know what crosses
the borders, sorry.

Best wishes,

Greg
