Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Headset Microphones-& what about battery speakers?

We have a Peavey Solo amp that is very handy. It is powered with 8 D cell
batteries that last a long time. It has two channels, one that accepts either
XLR or 1/4 inch phono plug. The other takes a 1/4 inch phono plug. We have
found it adequate for an audience of up to 150 inside.

am sure the battery powered amp/speakers have been covered on the list some
years ago, but I didn't do my homework saving the info. Could somebody
please give us a refresher course? (With or without references to moms.)

We're going to do excerpts form BasSax at Museum Mile event June 13 (6-8 pm
or so, around 83rd St. on 5th Ave.). Ideally, we would like to run a
& a mike or 2 through the speaker, we may settle for CD player & mike.
just not going to get power to bring a regular sound system, we don't have a
generator and we're not allowed to bring in a truck either. (Well if
has a connection with MET museum that would allow us to drop a power cord
of their window, that would work, too.)
