I don't use neoprene because I've never tried it, as it is not easily available here (montreal). It is the same ordering problem with Apoxie, but I ordered Apoxie Sculpt because I needed something near- indestructible for the tiny fingers. So far, all the tests proved that this is a GREAT choice. I litterally threw a test hand to the floor, hit it against a post, and tried breaking it iwith my hands. It eventually snapped, but such a strenght was needed that I would not be worried for small puppet use. As long as it isn't a fighting puppet with real impact. We will be using molds to cast the final hands in Apoxie. I should have sculpted the original hands in Super Sculpey instead of the Apoxie. Much easier to control, and I can use my bare hands, and I can bake it with my heat gun when I need to set something that works. I think I might actually do that NOW. The hands are started, but not very satisfying yet. I might save some time by actually starting over. Thanks for that change of perspective!
