Many had strings/ropes attached and I think the lyrics made reference that the were supposed to be puppets. And then some had strings that went from their own hands to their own feet/. Were the feet supposed to be puppets? Were their shoes supposed to be puppets. And wouldn't such things easily fall into the realm of the "deconstruction"of the illusions used in puppetry and since the avant garde is dead and performance art is so over, what is left but "neo". inquiring minds mjm On Jun 22, 2006, at 7:20 PM, Caro Naidin wrote: > Dear mjm, > > Although neo-puppetry is a completely unknown notion to me, the > video that you posted doesn't seem to have anything in common with > any form of puppetry; there's no animate object on that stage, but > children singing and dancing. > > Regards, > > C. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-lists.driftline.org Admin interface: http://lists.driftline.org/listinfo.cgi/puptcrit-driftline.org Archives: http://www.driftline.org
