If by 'made up' you mean 'not having been on the list of awards last
time you looked' this happens a great deal at festivals outside of the
US. As a culture we are very use to specific catagories at our Oscar,
Tony, Kitty and Puppy festivals and one time awards are deamed
doubious.

If by 'made up' you mean that he was given 'best use of spinach' then
this is just sad.
