Dear Bill:

No apologies needed.

Your presentation with Feldon (or was it the other way 'round?) was wonderful
and entertaining. One never tires of seeing such fine work. I wasn't bothered
in any way by the timing. In fact, I did think while viewing it (again) that
those 'silences' (pauses) were so helpful in building the work. That one could
almost 'hear' or sense the audience collectively, eagerly, waiting for the
tag. Good stuff.

I've wondered at times if I could try something like this, but the idea that
one had to be a VENT (limited imagination here) kept me from trying. Today,
it's a different stroy. Thanks.

I'm delighted to see this example of a non-verbal puppet hold his own on
stage with a puppeteer.
I have long held that this business of 'the willing suspension of disbelief'
was a cop out. Feldon is proof that if the puppet performance is powerful
enough and the puppeteer is totally focused and invested in his creation, then we
simply BELIEVE! Period!

Thanks to Steve Axtell for sharing this lovely gift.

Best,
Fred Thompson
